Parrhesia Lab | Eleana Baskouta — Psycho-Spiritual Consulting

PARRHESIA
Parrhesia (παρρησία) comes from the ancient Greek — pas (all) + rhesis (speech) — and means to speak truth fully and freely, with moral courage.
A discreet psycho-spiritual practice for those ready to stop performing and to summon what’s true
Parrhesia Lab is a consulting practice built for people who carry a lot: power, legacy, contradictions, longing. I work with those who’ve outgrown the roles they were rewarded for playing and are now looking for alignment. The work draws from psychodynamic and depth psychology, mythology, and lived experience, but most of all, it’s deeply relational.
Hopefully this can be a place for thinking people who feel deeply (and feeling people who think deeply) to come home to themselves.

Who I Work With
You’ve done what you were supposed to do. You’ve built, held, succeeded. You’ve carried family, fortune, expectations and sometimes, it’s cost you yourself. At Parrhesia Lab, I work with high-functioning individuals navigating:
Identity dissonance & confusion beneath high-functioning performance
Inherited roles from wealth, legacy, or public life
Living outward success while feeling inwardly off-center
Relational challenges: difficulty with closeness, boundaries, trust
Transitions: divorce, exits, loss, spiritual awakening
Patterns of self-abandonment, perfectionism, or dissociation
Spiritual disorientation or the aftermath of awakening experiences
Anxiety, emotional burnout, or chronic inner restlessness
I work with philanthropists, creatives, inheritors, entrepreneurs, and discerning thinkers. They are people who’ve become very good at being who they’re expected to be - and are now ready to ask:
Who am I, really?
What I Offer
I’m direct and I won’t sugarcoat things or tiptoe around what matters. I’m here to be honest with you, sometimes painfully, sometimes playfully. I’ll ask questions that get under your skin. I hold structure with warmth, and seriousness with softness. This work explores the roles you’ve learned to play, the attachment patterns that shaped you, and the subtle dynamics that show up between us.
Humor has a place here. So does depth.
We might cry one session and laugh the next, sometimes both in the same breath.
It’s part tragedy, part comedy. Very Greek. Very human.

The study of music as a study of the self
In the ancient world, music was not entertainment — it was instruction for the soul.
Mousagogy (from mousa, “Muse,” and agogos, “to lead”) was the art of being guided by harmony toward inner order. This is not a conventional music lesson.
You’ll study the ancient Greek lyre or classical piano — not to perfect performance, but to meet yourself. How do you approach challenge, frustration, silence, beauty, rhythm, dissonance?
Where do you collapse? Where do you push?
Where does your inner architecture resist coherence — and where does it long for it?These sessions use music as mirror — as practice, as revelation, as ritual.
You’ll leave with a relationship to music that is intimate, alive, and instructive — about you.
“He who masters harmony within will bring harmony without.”
— Orphic tradition (paraphrased)Available for beginners or experienced musicians.

A psycho-spiritual mentorship program rooted in the symbolic study of mythology
This offering is designed for individuals seeking not only personal insight but also a deeper education in myth, archetype, and symbolic structure. Drawing primarily from ancient Greek mythology—alongside selected stories from other cultural traditions—we study the psychological, philosophical, and spiritual functions of myth as a mirror for the inner life.
Each session combines guided inquiry with structured mythological education. Together we examine recurring themes in your lived experience through the lens of mythic patterns, figures, and narrative arcs. Over time, this work reveals the personal myth you are unconsciously living, and supports the emergence of a more conscious relationship with selfhood, fate, and meaning.
This is not psychotherapy, nor is it conventional coaching. It is a rigorous form of psycho-spiritual education and mentorship. The emphasis is both theoretical and personal: you will be introduced to core mythic structures, while also applying them to the architecture of your own life.
For those who wish to go deeper, a curated curriculum of weekly readings, prompts, and symbolic writing exercises can be provided.
“To become conscious of myth is to step outside of its shadow and choose the story that aligns with truth.”

About Eleana Baskouta
I wear many hats. So do most of the individuals I work with. And if you’re here, you might be tired of wearing them all at once. I was raised between two worlds: the visible world of legacy, influence, and cultivated achievement — and the invisible world of emotional fragmentation, inner questioning, and spiritual hunger. I learned early how to perform competence. I learned even earlier how far that could take me from myself.
Before founding Parrhesia Lab, I spent over a decade working across continents and sectors — from humanitarian policy and strategic philanthropy to fieldwork in the Amazon, researching the ceremonial use of ayahuasca. I’ve advised foundations, curated cultural programs, launched psychedelic ecosystem strategies, and raised millions for visionary causes. I’ve worked with grassroots leaders, government agencies, and high-net-worth families — often in the same week.
I hold degrees in diplomacy, development economics, cultural anthropology, business, and classical piano. I’m currently completing my clinical training in Integral Counseling Psychotherapy at California Institute of Integral Studies, with a focus on psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems, transpersonal psychology, and the ritual use of myth and music. I teach the piano and ancient Greek lyre as a tool for exploration and expression.
My practice is the culmination of everything I’ve lived, studied, survived, and synthesized. It’s a practice dedicated to truth-telling, self-authorship, and the careful reconstruction of a life that feels inwardly aligned.
“I am many, but I appear as one.”
